About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: bear with a liberty cap on the point of a sword and a coat of arms, standing on a pile of armor within a legend. Reverse: veiled woman with a flame on her head, representing Faith, holding a bundle of rods with an axe in her left hand and a sword and scepter above an altar with an open and closed book in her right hand; left: stork, right: owl within a legend; cut: inscription.
