Silver medal. Obverse: illuminated by heavenly light, crowned woman, representing the city of Alkmaar with coat of arms, sitting next to a coat of arms standard, raises sword with two laurel wreaths; meanwhile she tramples the prostrate Violence with her feet within an inscription; truncation: inscription. Reverse: Religion, depicted as a veiled woman, leans with her arm on an altar, on which a book lies; with an engraving pen she writes on a pillar around which two serpent rings hang within an inscription; truncation: inscription.
