About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: view of the city from the south, illuminated by a radiant sun; in the foreground: St. Antonieschans, the road and a small boat; right: seated Minerva with a spear in her right hand and her left arm resting on a shield, and an owl with spread wings; truncation: monogram of the letters S, P, Q and S in a cartouche decorated with twigs under a winged cherub's head. Reverse: town hall above strapwork between the letters S and C within an inscription.
