About this work

Photo album with 60 pages containing 65 photographs. The endpapers and front and back covers are also pasted with photographs. The images were probably taken by the English photographer G. Hidderley during a trip with friends or family through the Netherlands. This resulted in a series of five photo albums. In addition, 13 loose photographs belong to this series. This album contains images probably taken in Volendam: portraits in traditional dress, street scenes and scenes in painters' studios.
