About this work

Photo album with 50 cartes-de-visite on 50 pages in passe-partouts framed with gold lines. Depicted are portraits of unknown men, women, and children. A name is mentioned on the album page for three portraits, presumably of the sitter. The majority of the photographs were made in the city of Groningen. The photographs were made by various photographers, including Benjamin Sanders, Friedrich Julius von Kolkow, and Godfried de Jong. The photographer of two photographs is anonymous.
