About this work
Photo album in brown leather cover with a copper lock. The edges are decorated on the front and back with leaf motifs in gold stamping. Endpapers of changeant paper. The album contains 25 thick cardboard leaves with gold on the edges. Each page has a passe-partout framed with gold-colored lines. A total of 50 cartes-de-visite by various photographers. On some pages, a name is written and/or mentioned on the back of the carte-de-visite. It concerns, among others, members of the Van Gogh, De Voogt, Scholten, Hilverdink, Harras, and Sweys families.
