About this work

Photo album with 48 pages containing a total of 47 cartes-de-visite in passe-partouts framed with gold lines and one loose postcard at the back of the album. Depicted are portraits of unknown men and women and a photograph of a cross with flowers. The photographs were made by various Dutch photographers, including Albert Greiner, Johannes Wilhelmus Karsses, and S. van Caspel. The majority of the photographers worked in Amsterdam or Groningen. The photographer of 9 photographs is anonymous.
