Album with photographs of the Moluccas
From the collection of Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
Purple-grey collection binding with 'Souvenir. Oost-Indiën.' in gold print on the front and 'Oost-Indiën.' on the spine. The album appears to have once had endpapers, judging by the paper remnants present. The binding contains twelve cabinet photographs with views of villages, regions, roads, houses, a society, a fort and a barracks on the Moluccas. Ten photographs have a handwritten inscription on the back. The remaining two photographs have a pasted paper on the back with several printed inscriptions. These have been crossed out in pencil except for the inscription relating to the photograph. In one inscription the family name Renesse van Duivenbode is mentioned.
