About this work

Photo album in brown linen binding with leather spine and corner pieces. On the front board the title, on the spine the title with the year '1882-1883'. The album contains 81 photos provided with French captions. It is the photographic report of a trip to the Dutch East Indies, Singapore and British Ceylon, via Port Said in Egypt and the Suez Canal. They are shots of harbor, street, city and village views and landscapes. Additionally studio portraits of local inhabitants.
