About this work

Photo album with two lacquered panels. The front panel features a bird on a branch with flowers, made of ivory and mother-of-pearl; the back panel is plain black. The album contains five cardboard leaves covered with silk. Each page has cutouts for two cabinet photos. Surrounding these are painted decorations: flowers, birds, and landscapes.
