About this work
Two representations on a plate for the Gospel of Matthew. On the upper representation Christ stands in the midst of the sick, who are brought to him. Above the representation the reference to Matt. 4:23-24 in Dutch and French. On the lower representation the Sermon on the Mount. Christ sits left under a tree where he preaches to his listeners. Above the representation the reference to Matt. 5, 6 and 7 in Dutch and French. Marked bottom left: 15.
