About this work

The sister throws the vomit containing the host into the fire of the hearth, on the left. In the fire two angels appear, in the background the sick person vomits the host. Print no. 3 from the series of 16 depictions of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of March 15, 1345. Below the depiction two six-line verses in Latin and Dutch.
