About this work
The sister throws the vomit with the host into the fire of the hearth, on the left. In the fire two angels appear, in the background the sick man vomits the host. Print no. 3 from the series of 16 scenes of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of 15 March 1345. Copies after the series by Bolswert. Below the scene in the plate engraved a six-line verse in Latin, below that a six-line verse in book print in Dutch.
