About this work
The woman picks up the unharmed host from the fire, in the background she shows the host and it is stored in a chest. Print no. 5 from the series of 16 scenes of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of 15 March 1345. Copies after the series by Bolswert. Below the scene in the plate engraved a six-line verse in Latin, below that a six-line verse in book print in Dutch.
