Allegorical emblem with the pelican pecking its own breast to feed its young with its own blood, together with the bronze serpent around the cross. Print no. 12 from the series of 16 depictions of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of March 15, 1345. Below the depiction two six-line verses in Latin and Dutch.
