About this work
Little Thomas is bathed after birth but does not want to let go of a paper with the text "Ave Maria". Because the Virgin wants to take the paper away from him he eats it. Print from a series of 30 prints depicting the life story of Thomas of Aquino. The prints, after designs by and published by Otto van Veen, were made by C. Boel, E. van Paenderen, C. Galle and G. Swanenburgh.
