About this work

Thomas makes a cross with soot on the prison wall and prays that he will never feel carnal desire again. Two angels then tie a cord around him that frees him from the desire. Print from a series of 30 prints depicting the life story of Thomas of Aquino. The prints, after designs by and published by Otto van Veen, were made by C. Boel, E. van Paenderen, C. Galle and G. Swanenburgh.
