About this work

Lot sits under a tree and turns his head to the left to embrace one of his daughters. She holds a drinking cup in her hand and embraces her father. The other daughter lies in the foreground and pours wine into the drinking cup with her left hand while leaning with her right arm on her father's knees. Both daughters seduce their father Lot and make him drunk, so that they can bear his children (Genesis 18: 31-34). In the background right: burning Sodom and Lot's wife as a pillar of salt (Genesis 18: 24-26).
