About this work

In the foreground sits Honour, as an old man, on the ground, his arms wrapped around two naked women: Virtue (left) and Dignity (right). In the upper left in a cloud Immortality looks down on them. Right Glory, sitting on a globe, who holds a sceptre above Honour's head with her left hand. In her right hand a crown and chain. On the ground lie a crown, chain of office and sceptre, various fruits and a bishop's mitre (right).
