Cornix Transformed into a Crow

Depiction of the second story told by the crow Cornix to the white raven Corvus. Cornix (sometimes also called Coronis) was the daughter of Coroneus in Phocis. When she was walking along the shore as a girl, the sea god Neptune attempted to assault her. Minerva came to Cornix's aid and turned her into a crow. Below the image, two sets of two lines in Latin.
