Battle between the French and the Piedmontese on the Colle dell'Assietta. The French are driven back from the mountain. In the foreground the wounded are treated and removed. A priest blesses a dying man. In the margin the coat of arms of the Duke of Savoy and a five-line inscription with a dedication in Italian.
