About this work
In a peasant interior, a man holds a child on his lap feeding it with a spoon. A woman stands by the fireplace, where a cooking pot hangs. A child eats at a low table near the bed. Below the image the inscription: "Eet soete kintje eet, je luertjes sijne Reet" (Eat, sweet child, eat, your diapers are ready).
