About this work
A philosopher, accompanied by a putto carrying his books, and the personification of Reason, a woman with a caduceus, point a young man the way to Truth. To the right two women holding a curtain aside and the personification of Truth, a young woman in a halo, who tramples on Folly. In the middle two putti hold an empty oval.
