About this work
Allegorical representation with a globe on a pedestal with a bas-relief, flanked by Father Time (right), with an hourglass on his head and wings on his back, and the personified Truth (left), with a sun on her head. Father Time points with one hand at the globe and with the other at an All-Seeing Eye in the upper left background. Behind the globe, a third figure, the personification of Lies, turns away with a bundle of burning sticks in his hand. Print from a series of 41 emblems.
