About this work

Landscape in the mountains, with a river running through the valley. On a path, Abraham and Isaac walk towards the sacrifice site on top of a mountain. Isaac carries the wood for the fire on his back. In the upper right distance, the peak of the mountain where the sacrifice takes place. From the heavens, an angel descends to stop Abraham from sacrificing his son Isaac. Print from a series of 13 landscapes with biblical and mythological scenes.
