About this work

Landscape in the mountains, through the valley flows a river. On a path Abraham and Isaac walk to the sacrifice place on top of a mountain. Isaac carries the wood for the fire on his back. On the right above in the distance the top of the mountain where the sacrifice takes place. From heaven the angel descends to stop Abraham from sacrificing his son Isaac. Print from a series of 13 landscapes with biblical and mythological scenes.
