About this work

Mountainous landscape with on the right a port city. On the left on a road Tamar and Judah. By disguising herself as a prostitute, Tamar seduces her father-in-law Judah. Tamar becomes pregnant and can prove by means of a ring that Judah gave her as payment that he is the father of her child. Print from a series of 13 landscapes with biblical and mythological scenes.
