About this work
The erection of the bronze serpent in a frame of scrollwork with grotesques and masks. On either side of the image stands a herm with a fruit basket on his head to which two children are climbing. Hatched background. Leaf from a series consisting of a title page and 15 of the 16 sheets with cartouches containing biblical and mythological scenes in a frame of scrollwork and grotesques.
