About this work
The Good Samaritan pours oil on the wounds of the man attacked by bandits and applies a bandage. In the distance the priest and the Levite make themselves scarce. On the right on a hill it is visible how the traveler was attacked by the bandits. Print from the catalogue of Italian paintings of Leopold William, Governor of the Southern Netherlands, Theatrum Pictorum compiled by David Terniers; in the lower margin the dimensions of the original painting are stated.
