About this work
Landscape with a field. In the sky Daedalus and Icarus. Icarus flies too high near the sun. The wax of his wings melts and he falls from the sky. In the foreground a farmer looks up from plowing, while two shepherds look at the sky and point. The print has an ornamental border with flowers and animals. Part of a twenty-four-part series of landscapes with biblical, mythological scenes and hunting scenes.
