About this work
An armored man on horseback, riding to the left, holding a banner (cornet's banner) in his right hand. Beside him walks a young man with a staff over his left shoulder (to which, outside the frame, undoubtedly also a banner hangs). This print is part of a series of 22 numbered prints: a title print, 20 prints depicting one or several different types (mostly armored) riders, and a print showing a cavalry battle.
