About this work
An armored man on horseback, riding to the left, with a banner (cavalry banner or cornet) in his right hand. Next to him walks a young man with a staff over his left shoulder (to which, out of view, undoubtedly also a banner hangs). This print is part of a series of 22 numbered prints: a title print, 20 prints depicting one or several different types (mostly armored) of horsemen, and a print with a cavalry battle.
