About this work
In a wide hilly landscape villagers perform activities belonging to the months September, October and November: in the foreground cattle are slaughtered, in the background harvested and wood chopped. Below the image the title with two lines in Latin on either side. Print from a series of four prints depicting the four seasons, two after Hans Bol and two after Pieter Brueghel I.
