About this work

Two scenes on a plate. Above: St. Theodora puts on Didymus's soldier's clothing. Thus she escaped from a brothel where she was imprisoned. Below: Didymus sits blindfolded on his knees, about to be beheaded by the executioner. St. Theodora stops the execution and demands to be executed together with Didymus.
