About this work

Two scenes on a plate. Above: on the square in front of the temple of Solomon the temple is dedicated with festivities. King Solomon sits kneeling on a raised platform. In the background the temple and a large altar where sacrifices are brought. God appears as a dark cloud in the sky. Below: the ark of the covenant in the rear hall of the temple of Solomon, the Holy of Holies, under the wings of the cherubs.
