About this work
The signing of the peace treaty between France and the German Emperor in the town hall of Nijmegen, at ten o'clock in the evening 5 February 1679. Interior with a group of men standing around a table by candlelight. Among the negotiators are named: Count Strattmann, Marquis de Croissy (Colbert), Count d'Estrades, the Bishop of Gurk, Count Kinsky, and the empty chair of the Count d'Avaux. In the margin the legend 1-5.
