About this work
Sisera sleeps on the floor of a dilapidated building. He wears armor and beside him lie his club and his helmet. Jael holds a pin to his temple and in her raised right hand she holds a hammer. To the right rear Jael gives him milk to drink and to the left rear the battlefield is visible. Below the image a two-line Latin text with a description of the murder scene.
