About this work

Caricature in which the Belgian people pour their money on an altar on which stands a statue of Van der Noot. The money rolls into the skirts of a woman (La Pinau) who stands with Van Eupen to the right of the statue. In the background the outlines of a gallows are just visible at Van der Noot. With a three-line caption in French. Part of a large group of prints relating to the events of the Brabant Revolution and the period 1787-1790.
