About this work

The Christ Child, placed by Mary in the manger in the cave, is adored by the three Wise Men from the East who kneel before the Child with their gifts. In the background their retinue. In the sky stands the star that illuminates the place where the Christ Child is. In the margin an inscription in Latin.
