About this work
Saul orders his bodyguard to murder the priests of Nob because of their help to David. In the foreground the priests and their relatives are slaughtered. In the background right the bodyguards who refused to carry out Saul's order (1 Sam. 22:18). The print has a Hebrew, Latin, French, English, German and Dutch inscription.
