About this work
On the left front, priests stand carrying the ark of the covenant. In the middle, twelve men each lift a stone from the bottom of the Jordan. Behind them, the Israelites cross the river Jordan. Behind them, the water of the Jordan forms a dam. Below a reference to Joz. 3:14-17 and the title of the print in Hebrew, English, German, Latin, French and Dutch.
