About this work

The prophet Elijah speaks to a woman with a child just outside a village; he asks her to make food for him. In the background on the right, it can be seen how Elijah brings the woman's son back to life after he had succumbed to an illness. Below the scene, a line of text in Latin. This print is part of a series of four prints depicting the story of the prophet Elijah.
