About this work
The Tower of Babel is being built. In the foreground men are cutting and hauling stones in baskets. On the right a man, possibly Nimrod, makes a pointing gesture. On the left construction work: stones are being cut and transported with donkeys, ovens are being stoked. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Gen. 11:4.
