About this work
In the foreground, the Jewish people are attacked by snakes. In the middle ground, Moses points with his staff toward a pole upon which a bronze snake is attached. Whoever looks at the image will be healed from the snake bites. The print has a Latin inscription and is the sixth print in a six-part series on the history of Moses and the Jewish people in the desert after the Exodus.
