About this work
Daniel lies asleep in a bed under a canopy, dreaming. In the upper left is his dream of the four beasts: a winged lion, a bear, a four-headed leopard, and a beast with ten horns. Above them is the Ancient of Days. In the landscape on the left is his vision of the ram and the goat. Below the image, a Latin reference to the biblical text in Daniel 7.
