About this work
Daniel lies in a bed under a canopy, asleep and dreaming. In the upper left are his dreams of four beasts: a winged lion, a bear, a four-headed panther, and a beast with ten horns. Above them is the Ancient of Days. In the landscape to the left is the vision of the ram and the goat. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Dan. 7:1.
