Below the centrally positioned portrait of Philip V, King of Spain, sits his family. His son Ferdinand VI, holding the marshal's baton as his successor, stands beside him. To the rear right sits Ferdinand's stepmother, Elisabetta Farnese of Parma, pointing to the portrait of her husband, Philip V of Spain. Her daughters stand beside her. To the right in the foreground, the Church, wearing the papal tiara, and putti offer one of her sons the bishop's mitre.
