About this work
Vignette with female personification of Poetry playing a lyre on the bank of a water in a southern landscape. Behind her stands a pedestal with in relief Bellerophon defeating the Chimaera, a swan on the bank spreads its wings. In a small medallion Truth is represented. Around a frame wind a garland and a scroll with motto Studium scientiarum genitrix.
