Aerschot, burgomaster of Ghent, is protected by François van Ryhove against the rebellious inhabitants who want to attack him with clubs and swords, 1577. This print is part of a series of 24 prints with scenes from the life of Prince William I, 1568-1584, and is an illustration to the nineteenth song.
