Aerschot, mayor of Ghent, is protected by François van Ryhove against the rebellious inhabitants who want to attack him with clubs and swords, 1577. This print forms part of a series of 24 prints depicting scenes from the life of Prince William I, 1568-1584, and is an illustration to the nineteenth canto.
